In trying to make money for WMBR (we're non-profit, community run radio) I offered up some tickets to a mercury rev concert. I'm pretty sure nobody purchased them. I probably should have bought them for myself. Oh well.

I've been playing a lot of big d and the kids table lately because they're such a great local ska group. I also love that when I'm listening to "shining on" i recognize the local landmarks they mention, like blanchards' liquor store.
I also recently saw the decemberists live for the second time, and they are still my favorite live show. colin meloy is just a great performer and has great stories. As an added bonus, he got the crowd chanting "yes we did!" and had a obama cardboard cutout crowd surf during the show. It was great. The opener was also great, and I'll be playing some of their music next show.
